Meet Corey

The oldest of four children and a fourth-generation native of St. Petersburg, FL, Corey Givens Jr. matriculated through Pinellas County Schools, graduating from Lakewood High School. Givens attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, where he received his Associate in Arts certificate. In 2014, he graduated from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree.

Corey is an ordained Minister in the Baptist church. In addition to serving on Pinellas County Schools Independent Citizens Referendum Oversight Committee (ICROC), his civic engagement includes:
